After careful consideration and consultation, Gethsemane Cemetery is implementing several changes due to concerns everyone has with the Coronavirus. Our goal is to be able to focus on our primary mission, while limiting social contact, as recommended by the CDC. The health and well-being of our visitors and staff is paramount.
Currently, funerals and burials will continue under a normal schedule.
Our office will be working on an appointment only basis and will not be open to walk-ins. Staff may be limited or working remotely at times. Most inquiries can be handled via telephone or email and we have multiple online and mobile resources. Interment Authorizations will be handled electronically whenever possible and our counselors will reach out to each family to gather the appropriate approvals. Please do not send families directly to the cemetery office without first contacting us.
Funeral Masses or gatherings, with the exception of committal services, will not be held in our chapels until further notice.
We will communicate any further changes with you, in a timely manner, in order to provide information to your families.
